FirstShowing.net is reporting that, despite previously reporting that Disney will not be at the San Diego Comic-Con, The Avengers will indeed have a presence just unlike anything we have seen before.
Apparently there will be no formal presentation for The Avengers but instead there will be some sort of massive viral campaign going on potentially similar to what The Dark Knight did a few years ago.
Marvel’s viral focus for Avengers looks to be S.H.I.E.L.D. They will apparently have actual Avengers set pieces on the floor like a S.H.I.E.L.D. recruiting station.
Another set piece rumor is the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier bridge might be a major set piece to show up at Comic-Con, much like Odin’s throne was Marvel’s centerpiece at last year’s Comic-Con.
Tell me you wouldn’t want to sit in this thing while playing video games or watching tv…
