Cowboy Curtis is playing Perry White in Superman!

Who doesn’t remember Pee Wee’s Playhouse? It was quite the odd show with talking appliances and creepy little puppets, but it also had some DAZZLING performances by Laurence Fishburne.

Remember Cowboy Curtis?

Well if that handsome mug above didn’t get your brain a-stirring, maybe you might remember him as the guy with the magical sunglasses from The Matrix?

Yes! That’s right! Morpheus! Laurence Fishburne!

Well it looks like now that he is done with CSI, he’s looking to do something incredibly more awesome (potentially). He will be playing Perry White, the Editor-In-Chief at The Daily Planet in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. The character has always been played by white guys in the past, but who says ol’ Perry can’t be black? If Nick Fury can do it, so can Perry White.

If you recall, Man of Steel will be a Superman reboot directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan. Perhaps Nolan had some say in the superhero subtitle taking first-bill, much like The Dark Knight.

Or maybe Warner Bros just wants to make all their DC movies more edgy. My guess is on the latter seeing as they came out after The Dark Knight and said EXACTLY THAT.
