Planet of the Apes is shaping up to be a fairly intriguing-looking film. The main ape in the movie looks especially creepy because of his many extremely human-like qualities. For me the eyes are the creepiest part.
Weta just released a behind the scenes featurette on YouTube that’s pretty awesome. Andy Serkis is of course playing the main ape in the film. For all not familiar, he’s the guy who played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. He also played King Kong in King Kong, so he is clearly used to playing some sort of ape or monkey type of character.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is in theaters August 5th, this Friday!
