All the dwarves are in!

As you might have seen over the past few weeks, there have been plenty of pictures of dwarves from The Hobbit. For all of you who aren’t familiar with the original novel, Bilbo Baggins goes on an adventure with 13 dwarves, and the wizard, Gandalf.

The crew for the movie has been releasing pictures of these dwarves in sets of two or three over the past few weeks, and we finally have the full count of dwarves!

Here they all are…

Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the small band of dwarves

Balin and Dwalin

Fili and Kili

Bofur, Bombur and Bifur

Oin and Gloin

Nori, Ori, and Dori

Count it. Thirteen dwarves! They are all now present and accounted for! I will say that they all look a bit more crazy and badass then I would have thought possible in a dwarf, but it definitely gives each one a bit more character. I remember reading the book and always mixing up Fili and Kili and Bifur and Bofur simply because they barely spoke at all. There were only like four dwarves that really said anything worth-while in the books. I hope it’s a bit different in the movie because I wouldn’t want to see those beautiful costumes for each of them go to waste in the background!
